y do land plants have 1 photosynthetic strategy wher aquatic plants use different light harvesting strategies?
On land all plants appear green, where as aquatic plants vary in color. why?
Not all land plants are green.
Water filters out various lightwaves. Lightwaves at the blue/green end of the spectrum are the last to be filtered out by water so it is beneficial for aquatic plants to be able to harvest those lightwaves, therefore is it not in their best interests to reflect green.
