Dog Carrier
Has anybody used a dog carrier for their bike?
My dog is 15 lbs. Is a trailer comfortable and easy to bike with? What about a basket? Any suggestions?

-I have never used a dog carrier for my bike, but I have to tell you about a guy riding his bike on the road with this homemade dog carrier on his bike.
-Anyway I saw this guy with a dog carrier made of two plastic milk carriers/crates. I asked him about the carrier and this is what he showed me. He had one plastic milk crate bolted to his rear bike rack. It looked like he used four small bolts and a piece of metal to secure the plastic milk crate to his rear rack. He then put a nice, soft and puffy blanket on the bottom of the milk crate. He then took another milk crate and place it over the secured milk crate and bungie corded the top milk crate to secure it from falling off.
-He carried a really loud and mean Chihuahua in the milk crate dog carrier and he said, he used the top milk crate, so the dog would not jump out. If you have a normal nice dog you would only have to use the bottom portion. That Chihuahua looked like he was in a jail cell rollin down the road barking and yipping at everyone! Hee Hee!
-This is a little ghetto, but it would cost almost nothing to build. I think it would be able to accommodate a 15 lb. doggie. = )
